HTC Evo

A recent review of the HTC EVO 4G gave the smartphone 3 A grades out of 4 major crit eria such as Performance, Functionality, simplicity and affordability. It was only for Simplicity that the phone was given a grade of B. the smartphone seems to be the best around now based on its sleek appearance and out-of-the world functionality.

The smartphone can be used as the middleman to connect about 5 computers to the internet with 4G speed and consumers can make use of that application by just paying $29 to Sprint. Of all the phones compared the only one with 4G connectivity was the EVO which gave it significant internet connectivity speeds compared to the other 3G phones.

Sprint believes 4G phones are 10 times faster than 3G phones i.e. 600kb per second for 3G and 6 MB per second for 4G. Many Sprint customers don’t have access to 4G capabilities at the moment as the network carrier is still working on enabling 4G in all its US locations. But the EVO can automatically downgrade to 3G to consumers living in non 4G compatible locations shouldn’t have any problems.

However 4G phones make it possible to do so many things online at the same time in similar fashion like any computer. You can make a call while watching a video at the same time. The phone is so powerful that anything possible on a computer is possible on the smartphone.

The HTC evo comes with dual cameras so video conferencing becomes possible with the necessary software. It also comes with a HD camcorder which is connectible to a flat screen through the HDMI port and looks finer than many LCD TVs.

The phone sells at $450 Pay-As-You-Go or $200 when you sign a 2 year agreement with Sprint and this is very cheap as the phone’s individual components far outweigh its selling price. It comes with 1GB ROM, 512 MB RAM and 8 GB memory card. Its size is 4.8 by 2.6 by 0.5 inches. With many other features, this phone is the best available.
