If theres someone at your workplace who has not left for August vacation, you can cheer him up, or even better – pluck his nerves – with your singing voice.

The Scrolling Lyrics Player plugin for Firefox (that we found through cnet) Adds a window of words, along with a video window on YouTube – and makes your computer a type of karaoke machine.

The plugin is far from perfect. Beyond the fact that is not playback of music like regular karaoke, but a singalong, the number of cases we tested the song was not identified at all, or words of another song came up.

In cases where it identified the songs, they were not synchronized with the song and did not come up in time – in that case you can move the scrolling wheel.

Either way, increase the speakers, raise your head up high and sing Total Eclipse, Eternal Flame, Jolene, My Heart Will Go On, or find good songs on YouTube.
