Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart nearly ended up as action heroes according to Mark Morgan, director of the Twilight series. He stated that the film version of Twilight nearly became way different from the actual storyline in the novels.

Morgan revealed that some of the proposed changes in the movie included making Bella strong enough to defend herself, her dad changing into a vampire after passing away in an earlier film, as well as a host of many changes.

The movie’s producers changed their minds and went according to the storyline in the book after critical examination. Morgan stated that Twilight fans would have been really upset if the proposed changes went ahead.

Even though many fans expected the Twilight movie to be similar to the storyline in the novels, it wouldn’t have been such a bad idea if Pattinson and Stewart appeared as action heroes.

The reality is that Bella is the hero in Breaking Down and, besides Alice, Edwards is the strategist behind all the action at the Cullen’s house.
I hope the produces will remember that the success of the movies, despite the crap changes in the movies (except for new moon), are mainly because of the success of the books. As a twilight fan, you want to see or experience “the main story” and visually enjoy what you like in the book. But it is quite upsetting when the movie has things that would unlikely happened in the story line. In Eclipse for example, Bella running away with Jacob in the bike leaving Edward by himself in the parking lot. I do not think Bella would have done this to Edward in the book if you understand the history. However, keeping with the story line Eclipse has scenes that I like better in the movie than the book, the “proposal” for example.
