Harry Potter

Harry Potter style parks seem to be giving a headache to Universal Studios due to the difficulty for obese people to have access to them.

A small park at the Islands of Adventure theme park known as the Wizarding World of Harry Potter was launched last June but it has been a no-go area for dozens of obese people who visit the park because they are too big to fit into the seats of the roller-coaster ride known as Harry Potter and The Forbidden Journey.

The ride’s safety system turns down obese people by refusing to give the three clicks that give the green light for a ride to safely go ahead.

An earlier report by the Orlando Attractions magazine had confirmed that some of the theme park’s seats were being altered for fat visitors to fit into them.

There are now altered seats especially for fat visitors who are rejected by the regular seats because they can’t fit into them.

An ardent Harry Potter fan known as Banks Lee was so sad he couldn’t enjoy the Harry Potter ride because of his weight that he decided to control his diet and exercise rapidly to get rid of the extra pounds. He also started a personal website to update his project on.

After about 12 weeks, Lee’s weight slumped and he got the green light to enjoy the ride on August 27. He shared the great news on his website on August 27 and said even though his weight has decreased, there were no guarantees that he could enjoy the ride everytime as he was still considerably fat. He stated that he wishes to be able to enjoy unlimited access to the ride with the enlarged seats according a report in the Sydney Herald.
