Nokia’s will present new smartphones next week

Nokia, the world’s largest manufacturer of smartphones, will hold a press conference next week to present new smartphones.




Reuter reports, based on a number of sources within the company that Nokia is expected to introduce next week , during its annual exhibition in London, a number of new smarphones in order to convince investors and the media that the company is on its way to recovery.

Nokia is expected to introduce its flagship device, E7, that includes a touch screen and full keyboard control, as well as display to the public the N8 device which is the first smartphone to run on , Symbian 3 OS. The device includes a 12-megapixel camera, but has a slower processor than the last iPhone and Samsung’s rival model, the Galaxy S. The N8 is expected to be launched at the end of the month; a date for the release of the E7 has not yet been announced. Photos of the futuristic N9 have already shown up online.

Although Nokia is the world’s leader in the smartphones market, and sells about 40% of them, in recent years it has consistently lost market share to competitors, especially to RIM (the BlackBerry manufacturer), Apple (iPhone manufacturer) and a host of Android device manufacturers. Its shares recently suffered a 42% drop, which led to rumors that the company was going to dismiss its CEO, Oly Pekka Kallasvuo and that it has been searching for his replacement. Nokia pledged to make extensive changes to the Symbian OS, and among other things has confirmed that it Symbian Foundation – Construction of network applications. Analysts told Reuters that Nokia is committed to change and regeneration, and that “failure is not an option” for her.
