Murder and robbery charges have been filed against a woman who resides in Tampa Bay and has been suffering from hiccups for the past couple of months.

The victim, Shannon Griffin 22 is believed to have died from a robbery conducted by Jennifer Mee 19, and two other people on Saturday.

Mee is believed to have induced Griffin to a house where her two accomplices pulled a gun on him and robbed him of his belongings according to Sgt. T.A. Skinner who works with the St. Petersburg Police Department. Griffin was shot so many times when he tried to fight with his assailants.

The suspects have now confessed to the robbery according to Sgt. Skinner. Mee has been detained without a bond and its unknown if she has a lawyer for her defense. Her mother’s phone number is also not working at the moment.

Mee who suffers about 50 hiccups in a month became a national phenomenon when she tried to get her condition cured two years ago after various consultations with medical specialists, etc. until the symptoms stopped occurring naturally. She also appeared as a guest on the Today Show on NBC to talk about her medical condition.

The police have revaled that Mee has been cured of the hiccups.
