iPad

Like a successful gadget, the iPad already has an abundance of forgeries, some more interesting than the original toy. Here are the six of the best of them.

When your product is doing well everyone wants a taste of your success. Forgeries and knockoffs have been an inseparable part of the technological world for a year now and every successful product comes with dozens of knockoffs and forgeries some more successful than others.

And still, when the original product is so expensive, sometimes it pays to meet the cheaper and a little limited alternatives. The iPad is no different. Apple’s tablet PC already has a lot of forgeries and you might want to get to know them.

Meizu Mbook TabletbMeizu’s MBook

If you don’t know Meizu, you’ve missed the first iPhone knockoffs supplied by that company. The Meizu is a device very similar to the iPad externally but it is equipped with 8.5inch compared to the 9.7inc of the iPad. In order to make up for the smaller screen the MBook will enable you to enjoy an HDMI port supporting 1080p, a much higher quality than the VGA port of the iPad. Other than that, the device includes a 1.5GHz processor, wireless internet, 3G and GPS connectivity. The OS is a type of android (located on most knockoffs you’ll find). This great device can be found in stores next year.

iPedIped

In Hebrew it sounds the same but the different letters bring with them other differences. This device runs on the android OS as well and is sold at the very low price of $105. The device can be found on the streets of Shenzen which is also know as the largest factory city in China. Among others you’ll find foxcon where the iPad and iPhone and other Apple devices are manufactured.
The OS supplies an almost identical experience to that of the iPad and comes in a box almost identical to the original iPad. This means that if you’re in China and looking for an iPad take care what you’re buying.

Ezy tabletbEzy Tablet

Now this is a dreamy knockoff. A 10 inch screen, 1.6GHz intel procesor, 2GHz memory and a 250GB hard drive. If that’s not enough you can enjoy 3 USB ports and card reader that can read all five most common flash cards. Finally, if that’s not good enough, you’ll find a 1.3MP camera and the whole thing costs $679.
Wait. This computer sounds more like a computer than an iPad. You’re right! Not only does it include everything a regular computer includes but it runs on windows 7 and you can attach an optical mouse and external DVD. So why is it on an iPad knockoff review? Because the external shape is similar and it is sold around China as an iPad knockoff that does more. So if you’ve dreamed of an iPad that does everything, this is the device for you.

APad

A series of tablet PC’s with a similar external shape like the iPad and…that’s it. Beyond its shape the product is sold not as a knockoff but as an alternative for Apple’s device. The company selling these devices brags that their device is of higher quality, lighter and includes a number of options that iPad users can only dream about – like the option to use a stylus pen to write on the screen, running open systems like android and closed like windows. The devices include an internal memory of 2GB and an expansion option to 16GB, powerful processors and more.
Its nice to read warnings like “this 10.2 inch Android tablet is stable and well polished, and should not be confused with unbranded unknown manufacturer style tablets” after all, you wouldn’t want to buy a knockoff but the real deal, right?

The Big iPhoneThe large iPhone

A lot of people refer to this iPad as “the large iPhone”. That’s only because they haven’t seen this knockoff that really does look like a large iPhone. This device is sold at almost the same price as the real iPad ($410) but will supply three USB ports and the dubious user experience of windows.
The device with no name
This little knockoff is much smaller than the iPad and includes only 2GB of internal memory but it supplies something that the iPad doesn’t – two USB and an HDMI ports. most importantly it comes in several colors even in pink. The pinkish toy costs only $150. Other than that the machine doesn’t have multi touch capabilities and the resolution is 800×480. It is not known what processor it contains.
