Internet marketing is growing every day bringing in new individuals and with them new products. Becoming an internet marketer is very tempting. The main reason is the fact that almost every house has internet connection, a fact that puts us all close to the money, at least it feels like that. But learning internet marketing is no different than learning any other profession, or even harder due the simple reason there isn’t any real guide that will tell you about the big secrets of making money on the internet as an online marketer.
If you decided to become an internet marketer and you are planning to do it all by yourself, your only chance to succeed is to be 100% committed to it. Any other way will leave you no chance or poor results.
As a starter on the internet your best chance is to start searching for a good affiliate program that will help you make money with your traffic. Locating an affiliate program that works for you and makes you money is a super difficult task, in most cases even harder than finding a good traffic source for your website. Your options are unlimited (which can be an advantage but could be a disadvantage as well), starting from websites that offer their own affiliate programs to websites that decided to become a part of a big affiliate network, like CJ, Click Bank or any other affiliate network.
But where should you start? The best way is to dig around the internet and see what other webmasters are recommending. Search Google for forums that talk about affiliate programs products. Become part of the webmasters community. Create connection, answer other people about their questions and people will answer you. After digging around and finding few products you would like to promote start rotating the banners to check which affiliate program converts for your traffic best.
Communicate with your affiliate program account managers. Stay in touch with them, ask them which one of their products/landing page converts best. Try different things. Place the banners on different positions on your sites, give your visitors different offers.

Interesting article! I think the reason most people fail online is the huge quantity of programs to try and gurus to follow – and I am only talking about the genuine opportunities and the honest gurus! Because you are working from home, on your own, it can be really tough to “stay the course” and I think most people who don’t succeed online are the ones who give up TOO soon, before realizing the full potential of the program they have chosen. I have tried a variety of programs – so I’m an IM Hopper, who didn’t stay the course (red face here). What changed for me was that a man I know, who used to drive me crazy emailing me very opportunity he came across, finally found THE program that worked for him. He started working it in June last year – and all summer kept emailing me piles of other ops – and then, in October, started concentrating on this particular program in the evenings and weekends when he wasn’t at his full time job. He was able to quit his job in early December, took his wife on a cruise in April and continues to grow his bank account. He currently makes $10,000 per month. Knowing him and knowing he has “made it” has made all the difference to my staying power and attitude. Find THE program that lights your fire and stick with it. If I can do it, anyone can!!
