BlackBerry Torch 9800 available for advance ordering from Vodafone‏

Canadian phone giant RIM’s new kid on the block, the Torch 9800 can be ordered in advance at British wireless carrier, Vodafone. The phones will be free on various monthly contracts from as low as £40.



 

The network carrier believes that consumers who order the smartphone now will get access to it on September 27. Users can get access to 1200 minutes of call time, hundreds of sms, 500 MB of data as well as BlackBerry email service for £40 every month.

Users can extend their call time to 3000 minutes per month for just £50 per month. The contracts expire in 2 years in each case.

Another package is available for people who are just interested in data where they get access to 100 minutes of call time per month, 500 sms, 500 MB data and BlackBerry email for just £20 every month.

The new BlackBerry Torch has a 624 MHZ Qualcomm processor, 3.2 inch touchscreen at a resolution of 480 x 360 pixels. It’s also powered by the BlackBerry 6 operating system.
