AT&T

AT&T is seriously seeking a solution for the software fault found in its Alcatel-Lucent machinery. Reports by Reuters earlier in the day said the mobile phone network provider will be making corrections between two to three weeks from now.

The problem only affected lower than 2 % of its customers and when corrected, those affected will be able to increase the time for uploads from a minimum of 100Kbps to a maximum of 1.7Mbps. Customers who were not affected by the fault will not have any changes.

Many users of AT&T iphones in a variety of cities in the US announced their dissatisfaction with the time their phones take to complete downloads and the company only confessed to the problem in July 7 and said the fault in their software was affecting the internet speed in gadgets using the 3G HSUPA technology, that technology is only implemented by the iphone and some wireless modems.

The company has not made any official comment about the issue.
